2/27/2022: This weekend we conclude our sermon series, “Chosen but not Perfect,” looking at the patriarch Isaac. What do you know about Isaac? His arranged marriage? He was the father of twin boys? Deceived by his younger son? When you think about it, Isaac was a rather dull hero. What then put Isaac into God’s “Hall of Fame?” What was the quality that God saw in Isaac, and sees in us, that caused God to say, “I am the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob one dozen times?” (One for each tribe.) That’s what we explore in this sermon.
